Rather than astronauts, a mannequin named Commander Moonikin Campos helmed the Artemis 1 spacecraft, with two mannequin torsos, called Helga and Zohar, along for the ride. They mimic the astronauts so NASA can measure certain effects on the mannequins before putting the real astronauts on board.
A mannequin now holds the world record for going farther into Space than any human astronaut has gone before (40,000 miles away at its furthest orbit from our Moon).
